Yeah, I'm feeling kinda ranty today. Honestly, I'm fucking exhausted. I'm so tired of being the shrink, mediator, personal assistant, and hand holder. This wedding season has been awesome and brutal all at the same time!

I heard a DIY story the other day that just made me want to curl up in a ball and cry for this bride. Really... I wanted to cry for her. Because while DIY is FAB for several of you, some of us just don't have the knack for doing anything ourselves.

I feel a rant coming on... And maybe it's because I'm on vacation next week and I feel my patience wearing thin or maybe it's because I'm feeling completely burnt out from the craziness of wedding season, but this bridey really pissed me off. Know why?

I've been doing some thinking and I've come to the conclusion that everything a bride needs to know about wedding planning, she learned in kindergarten. All of these points are so completely basic, yet so completely applicable to wedding planning.

Customer service is a topic that always seems to get me a bit emotional. Be it an absolutely amazing customer service experience (like the one the hus and I received at Michael Mina in Las Vegas) or a shitty customer service experience, both have the power to make you feel incredible or plain old pissed.

Bridey, I can handle a lot of things, but the one thing I cannot stand is to be micromanaged. Period. So, please don't micromanage me. And please don't micromanage your vendors. The funny thing is that I'm not talking about now; the wedding planning process. I'm talking about on your wedding day.

It was an amazing wedding. Like drop fucking dead amazing... From the deep purple décor to the floating orchids all the way down to the boutonnieres and the blinged out bouquets. A MAZ ING. Clearly, there was a lot to photograph, and it would have been an absolute crime to miss any of the intricate, well-planned (ahem) details.

The United State Supreme Court ruled today for same sex marriage to be legal nationwide, and as I read the various articles telling this wonderful truth, I told my son to come into the living room.

Bridey, when it comes to what your vendors are going to provide for you, avoid comparing what you heard your vendors did for your best friend, sort of friend, acquaintance or somebody that you know. Because each circumstance is different...

Those of us sporting a shorter 'do know that the "short hair is easier" idea is nothing but an urban beauty myth. Truth is, short hair requires savvy styling and it can be challenging to look for ways to spice up your look.

There's the only truth in the world. No matter what, the ultimate desire of all people in the world is to be loved. I know some people don't own up but deep down in their hearts it is love, they hanker for.

By the time you read this, I will be 37 years old. Wow... Could I be more dramatic? But, seriously, I feel like I just got married, and my trip down the aisle was ten years ago! TEN FUCKING YEARS! Oh my God! I was 27!!
