A Romantic Painting-Inspired Styled Shoot in Toronto

A Romantic Painting-Inspired Styled Shoot in Toronto

via

Wedding photographers Heidi Lau and Therese De Jesus wanted to create an intimate styled shoot that was inspired by Gustave Klimt’s painting “The Kiss”.  To set the stage for this shoot the pair wanted a venue that felt modern and fresh, so they chose Evergreen Brickworks’ Holcim Gallery. “We wanted the shoot to be a combination of romantic and modern elements, which led us to this spot,” they explained, “It had the perfect mix of urban elements to contrast the dreamy decor, florals and attire.”  The colour palette of baroque blue, gold, burnt orange, brown and yellow was taken from the painting itself while whimsical elements like sequinned gowns, oranges, succulents and intricately-patterned sweets enhanced this shoot’s overall modern appeal.
