If pretty paper is your thing, then boy do I have a treat in store for you this afternoon! Run by husband and wife team Ben & Erin, Berinmade's contemporary, stylish and whimsical designs are a real favourite at b.loved HQ and have been featured on our pretty pages many times. Today we discover their new 2014 Ready-To-Go collection, alongside an interview with Erin to find out a bit more about the day to day running of Berinmade.

I worked in an international auction house in their contemporary art department after completing my Masters in Contemporary Art. At the time, it seemed like the "sensible" thing to do as the economy was so terrible. Although it was a job that I knew I should have loved, because so many of my peers had wanted to be in my position, I felt a real desire to start creating again. I began to create illustrations and designed prints in my spare time, and posted them on my blog and listed them on Etsy. What I didn't expect was that instead of quenching my "desire" with this little hobby, it soon became all I could think about doing! Everyday I looked forward to getting back to my drawing board, painting, and making prints. At around this time, there was a stationery "explosion" going around the web. Design-led paper goods were coming back in a huge way. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to marry my passion to a business as a career, and Berinmade was born! My style is romantic, whimsical, quirky and colourful. I like to design with whatever sets the couple's hearts on fire-at the end of the day, trends are going to look a little bit silly in wedding photos if people are following because it's trendy, but if a couple celebrated true to their style, they will always look back and remember what a wonderful time they had, instead of how they looked. Ben and I are a real husband and wife team in the sense that when you become our clients, we really take care of you. Ben is the one to liaise with for quotations, samples, logistical questions like sending you a personalised timeline for your calendar which will include all your key dates (such as for printing, proofing, dispatch). Basically, he is the guy to get you all organised-because wedding planning can become so complicated and stressful if you're not organised. I deal with all the creative aspects of making the design happen with your invitations-mood boards, colour schemes, illustrations, lettering, paper choices, envelope choice, printing and finishing-I'm your girl. We make sure we plan ahead of time with sufficient drafts, a proper printing schedule, plenty of refinement for designing, so that nothing is rushed and your invitations are as perfect as you dreamed for them to be. Women who run successful businesses with young children really inspire me to find a good balance in life. You can't be everything to everyone, but everyday you get to make the right choices for the people you love. Our next challenge is designing a luxury lifestyle range!
