There is sunshine outside, proper actual sunshine in February. I know, who would have thought it?

To celebrate this tiny window of Spring we're sharing with you a super colourful bloom-packed extravaganza that should give you plenty of inspiration for your forthcoming wedding. I have always wanted to wear a full-on fresh flower crown, and it's no secret that a backless number is my favourite type of dress, this feature therefore has been an absolute pleasure to put together.

I am particularly enamoured by the outdoors table set up, if only the UK weather could be relied upon to always offer the opportunity of table dancing amongst the crockery, pretty paper goods and stylish centre pieces, now that would make for a fun reception. Oh and a swing. Every W-day needs a swing.

All of the pretty images are by Katherine Ashdown.

Katherine Ashdown: Around a year ago a brand new Norfolk wedding venue owner Chris got in touch to tell me about his exciting new outdoor wedding venue just outside Norwich. He was looking for some promotional images and invited me down to the site to have a sneaky look round.

It was a very cold grey winters day and the site had been having some work done so looked a little bare. What was apparent though was that this was special. I mean a seriously special venue and I was blown away that such a beautiful location was just outside Norwich.

Largely the site consists of beautiful woodland surrounded by fields and overlooking the marshes. There is also a cleared 'green' perfect for a marquee or tipi. It was clear to me that this site needed a very special shoot and so the idea for this years styled shoot was born. It is very much perfect for every type of bride wanting an outdoor wedding or a secluded/natural feel to their reception with the convenience of Norwich close by. We thought though to really play to the venues strengths we would give the shoot a bit of a 'boho' theme after all this is really is the most amazing outdoor location.

Chris wanted to wait until the site was a little more 'ready' and that the trees, grass all looked their very best so we decided to wait until late summer and eventually the date of 3rd October was decided. In the mean time I met a very special bride, Chantal who has created and styled her own engagement shoot and wedding with such amazing attention to detail I was blown away. She had expressed an interest in doing more 'styling' and decided to open her own business, Angels by the Sea, which is prop hire and styling for weddings and other events/shoots. She is SO good at what she does I invited her to get involved with our styled shoot. She arranged EVERYTHING, from the models to the camper to the incredible tipi and went to town with every last detail making the shoot quite simply EPIC.

There were lots of suppliers involved as well as great models and I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to them all for giving their time, energy, vision and enthusiasm in the run up and on the day itself. A styled shoot is such a great opportunity to meet new suppliers, have some fun and give everyone some awesome images for their portfolios and in this instance check out this incredible new venue.
