The wedding we have for you today has some of the most beautiful floral arrangements we have come across, and to make this even more amazing the bride and groom created them, with a little help from their families! Annihita and Chris married in the UK with a fusion of Mexican and Sicilian influences, as well as inspiration from the Edwardian era and a nod to Frieda Kahlo. Sound interesting? It is. We love a fusion of cultures and a wealth of colour, and this wedding has all of the above. It also has some super fun stationery which the couple made themselves, being the designers behind CL-AM. Tarah Coonan was there to capture the utter gorgeousness of this day.

Annihita and Chris wanted their wedding to have a laid back, slightly rustic feel. They chose East Quay in Whitstable for their ceremony and reception as a perfect fit with wooden tables and a mezzanine level for the ceremony, plus the venue is located right on the beach. The couple didn't want an overall theme as such but went instead for a mixture of influences including Mexican and Italian, with bright tissue paper, paper flower pompoms and layered colored ribbons adding lovely pops of color throughout the reception and ceremony area. Annahita and Chris enjoyed working together creatively on the wedding and were glad they went for a DIY approach. Since they are both designers it was important to them that they did all the stationery themselves, including the table plans, menus, napkins and place settings. Tita and her mother and sister did all the floral arrangements and bouquets using a mix of bought and self-grown blooms including peonies, roses, sweet williams, freesias, dahlias, gypsophila, carnations, french lavender, rosemary, forget-me-nots, daisies, and foliage, and there was even aquilegia from an original plant belonging to Tita's late grandfather.

Annihita describes her look as an natural and bohemian with a nod to Edwardian/Sicilian/Frieda Kahlo style. She didn't want to overspend on her wedding dress but after looking through a lot of high street shops without any success she booked an appointment with Elizabeth Avey, a specialist in vintage gowns. The first one she tried on was an ivory Edwardian era gown with lace and crochet details. It fitted her perfectly and she had found her dream dress! For her bridal makeup she wanted something low key but pretty. After going for a Chanel bridal trial to pick up a few tips, she decided to do her makeup herself. She stocked up on some products at the trial, and recommends Chanel Powder Blush "72 Rose Initiale", which gave her a really pretty glow that lasted all day, as well as Chanel Long Lasting concealer and lipstick in "Paradis". For the bridesmaids Annahita wanted a Sicilian Dolce and Gabbana type look so she picked prom style dresses in a dark tapestry-like material with lace trim belts, red wedges and vintage brooches.
