We're bringing you a wedding full of handmade bunting, fabulous floral prints and vintage buses this morning.

From being a girl who didn't want to get married...Alice very quickly become a wedding blog addict. And like many of you, still comes back to RMW to have a look at our beautiful weddings.

But sometimes all of the inspiration just gets too much. When I eventually tie the knot, my head is so full of ideas - I'm not sure where I'll begin!! So I can completely relate to Alice when she says she wanted festival, rustic, vintage, purple and pink...

Rather than making a decision, she just combined everything. And I think that was the right decision. Alice and Matt's wedding is full of things they love.

Alice The Bride: When I was younger, I always told my mum that I was never going to get married, the whole wedding thing just didn't interest me. But obviously as I grew up and met the man of my dreams, I started to realise it was important to get married, but I just wanted less fuss about the wedding. I had never read a wedding blog or picked up a wedding magazine until I started planning my own wedding and now I'm slightly addicted, even after the wedding! Our whole wedding was a DIY affair and on a budget, so I have lots of people to thank. I also felt it was really important for Matt to have input into our day.

We decided to get married in the church down our road, which held a lot of tradition as Matt's parents and grandparents were married there. We had 2 readings - Song of Solomon read by Matt's dad and The Lovely Dinosaurs by Edward Monkton read by my brother and Matt's sister. If I could change anything, then I would definitely take the time to look at all my guests while walking down the aisle as I completely forgot to look!

I really wanted a tipi or yurt wedding venue for the reception however due to cost this was not an option. After a lot of research, and a good suggestion from Matt's sister, we found The Crown Inn, which is an old fashioned pub with a barn and private meadow out the back. PERFECT. The venue also provided the catering and a show-stopping cheese board for the evening.

I went to a couple of local wedding dress shops but I felt very overwhelmed and pressured to make a decision. It didn't feel right that I had to decide in January for a wedding in August so after some thinking I enlisted the help of a family friend who is a dressmaker. And my dress was made...ta dah...not quite that easy but felt soooo good to have a dress made to fit my body shape and I could have everything I wanted!

I didn't want a veil as I felt it made everything too formal. My headpiece was made by Amy Surman, who is my silver jewellery teacher. I also bought an antique clasp from e-Bay and Amy re-strung it with pearls to make a bracelet.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...antique brooch in my hair and clasp on my bracelet, my dress and shoes, my mum's diamond earrings, lace garter and blue ribbon stitched into my dress.

I knew exactly what I wanted for bridesmaids dresses and could not find them anywhere on the high street. So again, I had them made by the same family friend. We sourced the fabric from Goldhawk Road in Shepherds Bush. My mum and I made the bridesmaids a necklace from sterling silver and dusky rose quartz and a simple pearl bracelet to match the pearls in my headpiece.

I left the boys to sort themselves out, I showed them some pictures of the styles I liked and left them to it! I first saw them in their suits on the wedding day! They were suited and booted head to toe by Clements & Church in Oxford, Matt's suit almost stealing the show. I made Matt some chunky silver cufflinks to wear with his suit which was his present on the wedding morning.

One thing I really do not know anything about is photography. And I really don't enjoy having my photo taken. After a lot of research I found Cotton Candy on the internet. Gem and Phil made us both extremely comfortable, feeling very natural on the day. A massive plus was their use of Polaroids, 360's, holga's and a general array of special cameras. During our "two of us" photos it poured with rain, but Phil wasn't phased at all, and we have some amazing photos to treasure forever.

Green & Gorgeous provided us with seasonal flowers, they grow all their own flowers on site and pick them on the morning you collect them. This was one of the things we were most worried about as we arranged them ourselves! But it all turned out brilliantly thanks to the lovely ladies (you know who you are) that helped me decorate the venue.

Matt's major influence was Lego. Matt sourced and built lego people to have as place names, an amazing idea. I think a lot of brides must think I'm mad but we had a lego cake made by a family friend. I let my sister be in charge of the cake, I only wanted a little one and it ended up as 4 tiers!!

Matt and I are big indie music fans and regular gig go-ers so the band was oh so important and actually the 3rd thing we booked. Mister Kanish are amazing - we had an acoustic set followed by an electric set. I can't recommend them enough, everyone danced the night away.
