Wedding Guest Style ✈ Midi Length Dresses | Fly Away Bride

Wedding season is in full swing and if like me, you have left it until last minute to find something easy and fun to wear to a wedding this summer, then you might appreciate todays post! Weddings are a great opportunity to pull out all the stops and perhaps try on something you wouldn't normally wear and for me, I've been sitting on the midi length dress fence for a few months now. I've admired the cut for ages but was nervous that the below the knee length would exaggerate my stumpy ankles. The great thing though about this length is that it comes in so many different styles so there is definitely one that will flatter every body shape. The pencil design suits me the best and this summer, I'll be channelling the Victoria Beckham in me and pairing with an oversize clutch and some killer heels. I have a few bridesmaids eyeing up the ruched designs also, particularly those beautifully embellished Virgos Lounge wrap arounds.

The Pencil

Sexy and sophisticated, the pencil dress will never go out of fashion and can be worn time and time again. We are loving the prints and the bold colours and with the added below the knee length, it's a real head turner.

The Tulip

We are loving this shape at FAB HQ and can't stop oohing over the beautifully embellished shoulders from Bow and Pearls ivory dress. This would also be a great day after the wedding dress for those of you looking for something a little but special.

The Ballet

The ballet style midi dresses are just so much fun and if you are a real girly girl, then this style will hit the nail on the head. A cute pair of courts and a little clutch and away you go.

The Swing

Fun, flirty and a great choice for the one who likes to spend most of the night on the dance floor, the swing style midi dress is not as dramatic as the ballet but every but as pretty. We love how the longer sleeves balance the generous skirts and it's a great day to night time option.
