How To Make A Glitter Feather Escort Table

Supplies

Thicker foam board

Directions

1. Trim your foam core to your desired size using a straight edge, such as a metal ruler, and a very sharp craft knife.

2. Sand down the foam edges before painting. Otherwise, they could chip away and leave visible white spots. The paper layer, when painted, will look much different than the foam edge, but both will hold paint.

3. Finally Spray paint your foam core. Frances went with gold, but a pretty silver or soft pink would look equally as lovely. Let sit overnight to ensure that everything is dry before you start putting your feathers in it.

2. Paint the top of your feather with your desired paint color. While the paint is still wet, gently sprinkle your glitter onto the painted portion of your feather. As far as color combinations you can go wild with a turquoise paint and hot pink glitter or keep it simple with gold on gold like Frances did.

2. Gently shake the glitter off and then place them upright in your foam core.

3. After you have sprinkled all your feathers let them air dry overnight.

4. The next day spray a thin coat of clear lacquer, this will insure that all the glitter stays put.

5. Frances and Ablert used white labels and hand-wrote their guests names on each one with table numbers and a star indicating what they would be dining on.
