Years after high school, Elizabeth and Peter reconnected at a party in Toronto where they hit it off. "He admitted to having a 'huge crush' on me in high school," laughs Elizabeth. Months passed and the couple finally became official, knowing that they were meant to be together. Their engagement took place on the perfect winter day so they decided to embrace the season for their wedding as well.

Muted tones were used to complement the natural beauty of the winter months. Hues of champagne, dusty rose, dove grey, and blush were paired with the deep green foliage including ferns, olive branches, and magnolia leaves.

Elizabeth says that the ceremony was one of her favourite parts of the day. "A few times I took a moment to look around the room and it was so heart-warming to see my family and closest friends surrounding us," she remembers.

At the reception, once all the speeches were done, the first dance was had, and the cake was cut, it was finally time for the couple to let loose on the dance floor and relax. "Peter and I danced the night away to our favourite songs, ate cake with our hands, hit up the late night buffet now that the "wedding diet" was officially over, and capped it all off with sparklers outside at 2am with our best friends," shares Elizabeth.
