Spruced Up Drift Wood Centerpieces

From the Bride: The centerpieces were also inspired by plants one would see if they were in a desert in Mexico. Knowing that we are not the modern or chandelier centerpiece type but more of the eclectic rustic type, having more nature base centerpieces like succulents, driftwood, and cactus would represent more of who we were. The centerpieces were what we felt represented our Latin and rustic inspiration perfectly.

Stay In The Moment

A good piece of advice I have is that every bride should just be in the moment. The two years of planning that Ernesto and I had went by in 6 hours. If you don't enjoy every minute, you'll get to the end of the night missing so much.. Try your hardest to talk to everyone (even though there will always be someone that is missed) and just let your love shine. Have fun!

Read on to see how much this Desert Inspired Loft wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple's breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

Budget Breakdown:

We were willing to spend a little more to be in the place we love.
Caterer- $14500
DJ-$1100
Venue- Around $4000

Things that we got creative for, in regards to the budget are as follows-
Dress- Yes it was designer, but I went to a boutique that sold overstock designer dresses at discounted prices. $1000- With alterations $1400
Flowers- We did have a floral studio set-up (while going based off of my original design) and also provide all the fresh flowers. However, all of the antique stemware, succulents and glass cylinder holders were purchased from the dollar store and thrift store. Flowers and some rental pieces from florist- $1200. Personally purchased cylinders, antique stemware and succulents- $115.
Cake- $600
Hair- $85
Make-up $65
Mens suit- $200
Provided our own alcohol- $1000 (Cheaper than paying the caterer to provide liquor).
Guest cards for tables- This was in total $20. I actually made these by buying gold glitter stock card paper and then gluing white paper doilies to the cardstock. It matched the whole theme and was inexpensive.
TOTAL- $25,000
