In the first bridal collection showing since Oscar de la Renta passed in October of 2014, the line's new creative director, Peter Copping, honors the late designer with a collection he'd certainly approve of. Staying true to the signature attention to detail we've come to expect from the fashion house (think: meticulous applique and beadwork and flattering silhouettes, like the off-the-shoulder looks the designer created for Amal Alamuddin's wedding to George Clooney), Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2016 collection is statement making and completely put together, while remaining innovative (can we talk about these amazing macrame wedding dresses?).

We can see echoes of Oscar wedding dresses in the past, like Kate Bosworth's simple, sleek strapless gown and Jenna Bush Hager's intricate floral applique V-neck design, in the collection. As always, the collection spans design aesthetics from sleek and modern to proper and traditional -- and even barefoot bohemian.
