Christina and Mike selected Salt Air Farm as the backdrop for their outdoor garden wedding. The scenery was definitely picturesque, but we love how the couple encouraged their guests to interact with the farmland-yard games in the lawn, tractor rides and fruit picking. How often does one pick their own nectarines at a wedding...or ever?! We're so excited to share Photography by Verdi's beautiful images of Christina and Mike's big day.

Everything! The location, the flowers, the colors, the details, the family, the friends, the weather... Perhaps the most unique aspect about it was that it was so comfortable for everyone in attendance but wasn't so overly lax as to be considered a "casual" affair. The nectarine picking since we were at an active fruit farm was really memorable for our friends with kids, but the lawn games during and after cocktail hour were another fun activity to get our guests in the swing of things!

My dress was an understated but beautiful vintage lace gown I purchased at at a benefit for Brides for Breast Cancer. I had a fantastic time with my bridesmaids. We enjoyed champagne and hors d'oeuvres while scouring their selection and unanimously selected the dress I wore to my wedding! All proceeds from the gowns sold that evening go toward research to prevent, treat, and cure breast cancer-it's really nice, considering how much we all spend on our weddings, that some of it can go to a good cause.

One personal touch was including our nephews and nieces in the ceremony! My husband rebuilt an antique wagon to have the children pulled down the aisle, right up to where we were married, under a beautiful weeping willow and draped fabric. We also hand-made lemon-accented center pieces to match our yellow accent color (and lemon bars from Magnolia for dessert!) and we even had fresh Sangria made from fruit on the farm!

The single most memorable part might have been when our Best Man and Maid of Honor gave the toast together. It was so touching and heartfelt, and had some humor to it but was just so sweet and happy and loving that it was impossible not to have it make a mark on our memories forever.

Speaking of our Best Man and Maid of Honor, they are married-and we met at their wedding! Mike was the best man and I was a bridesmaid, we connected instantly and talked and laughed all night.
