We are finishing the week on a high with another of my favourite shows from Barcelona Bridal week. I had the pleasure of attending all of the shows about two weeks ago and don't get me wrong, they were all so wonderful but at times, it was hard to remember who had featured what as unsurprisingly, most of the dresses were white. When Marco and Maria opened, I just knew it was going to be special. A sweet, sheer tulle tea-length in the most romantic shade of dove grey glided down the runway and reset the bar. Immediately obvious was the attention to detail and playful mixing of trimmings. Creped shoulders, delicate floral appliques, hems lined with ribbon, it nearly shouldn't have worked. The beauties that followed were very much along the same vein and I loved in particular how the designers kept elements of each dress similar but varied colour, fabric choice or silhouette. At times, it felt like you were watching paintings in their frames come to life and this show was a major highlight for me.
