It comes as no surprise that we're instantly intrigued by anything shiny and shimmery ... especially when it comes to makeup. We've covered the how-tos of gilded eye shadow, and now we've moved on to another region on the face ... lips! To help us land this autumn-inspired trend, we've enlisted makeup pro Alana Dawn to show us all how it's done!

Step 1. Apply a deep, burgundy plumlipstick shade to lips. We used NYX Simply Vamp in Covet.

Step 2. Using your finger, pat loose, gold pigment (like Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Loose Powder Shadow in Breaking Bronze) to the center of your lips to achieve an ombré effect! Tap outward to blend.
