Amazing 4th of July Wedding with Cool Americana Decor

Amazing 4th of July Wedding with Cool Americana Decor

via

So it might be somewhere between Halloween and the festive season, but today at Bridal Musings HQ, we're feeling the summertime vibes, with Erika and JP's awesome 4th of July wedding.

With beautiful pictures by Sarah Shreves Photography and cool Americana decor by Orange Blossom Special Events, this fun California wedding is kind of off the charts.

With their stunning mountain backdrop of Bandy Canyon, Erika and JP's bash was equal parts cool, fun, stylish and romantic.

From gorgeous style from both the couple and their bridal party (spot Erika's sweet 'something blue' mani!), to elegant blooms, and DIY favours to rustic tablescaping, there are so many pretty details to borrow from this day.

Add in a portable bar, photobooth truck, sweet mad libs, and a raucous night on the dancefloor, and you have a day that didn't look look pretty special, but felt it too....

Wedding Day Snapshot

Our Love Story

We met at a mutual friend's birthday at Pirate Adventure. We have had many adventures since and look forward to many more throughout our life together. Our wedding in three words? Red, White and Blue Or... Romantic, American, Uniquely Rustic.

The Flowers

A lot of greenery was used. Feature flowers in the bridal bouquets included anemones, roses, succulents and green filler. The bridesmaids bouquets took this design and added red and blue, to make it a red, white and blue bouquet. The groom's boutonniere was a single white rose with greenery. Groomemen had pungent red roses.

The Ceremony

During the ceremony, the bride and groom planted a tree, to grow with their love.

The Photography

They fit our style perfectly. They were detail oriented and captured us in a natural environment. In addition, they were both super easy to work with!

The Decor & Details

There were string lights, hand made yarn garlands and yarn wrapped signs everywhere. The couple spent many months hand wrapping a horseshoe in various colors of red, white and blue. Everyone took one home with them. There was a MadLib guest book. Lastly, guests took home an awesome photobooth photograph from the Photo Bus.

The Refreshments

Freshly brewed beer was featured, along with an entire bar on wheels, named BOW, which was designed specifically for this wedding. It was a plated meal served in the mountains under the stars. There were red, white and blue cake jars for dessert.

Advice for Other Couples

Don't concentrate on the small details. The wedding will fall into place. Just enjoy the planning process and the overall point, being with each other. Our ballpark budget was $65k

The Music

Grand entrance was Levels by Avicii and Firework by Katy Perry. The first dance was Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran.

Favourite Moments

The band was AMAZING and played music that perfectly described us as a couple. The best part of the night (other than just getting married) was when the band played a few tributes to America and the guests danced and partied to these songs with light up foam glow sticks, blinking in red, white and blue. Our friends and family wrote their own readings. One was based on scripture another on Shel Silverstein. We also planted a lemon tree during our ceremony! You got every genre out of them. So gorgeous, right? I love how timeless Americana decor is, don't you? And that photobooth is just so cool! I cannot tell you how much I adore the effortlessness of California weddings!

Thanks so much to Sarah Shreves Photography, Orange Blossom Special Events and of course, the wonderful Erika & JP for sharing their 4th of July wedding with us.
