Honor your service to each other with this super sweet foot-washing ceremony idea

Cleo and Aaron's gorgeous Georgia wedding had one specific feature that we hadn't seen in a little while and had to call out: a foot-washing ceremony. This ceremony has roots in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Paganism, and other religions, and has taken on lots of forms in contemporary weddings.

Mostly we just think it's a really sweet way to show love and service between each other. We especially thought this comment from our Instagram feed was perfectly appropos:

My husband and I did this instead of a ring exchange. We wanted our first promise to be a promise to serve one another.

Want more of this wedding? We knew you would. Head on over to see it in all its glory.

What ceremony traditions will you be taking on?
