Today's shoot is full of gorgeous ideas for any wedding, but it's especially inspiration-laden if you're planning an elopement.

Elopements are such a great opportunity to be creative with big ideas, on a small scale.

From an elaborate tablescape to extravagant blooms, and luxurious calligraphy to indulgent desserts, hosting a wedding for two means you can really go all out on the details.

And this shoot by Fiorella Photography, and its accompanying film by Nikos Fragoulis, show how it's done beautifully, featuring the most romantic lakeside setting in Greece, and the skills of some seriously talented local vendors.

With flawless make-up ideas (we've already pinned!), chic style, incredible decor and stunning blooms, there's a lot to borrow for your own big day.

From the Photographer

The fairytale landscape was the inspiration for this styled shoot. From the moment I laid eyes on that lake and those fantastic full of green surroundings, away from civilisation, electricity, I knew it was the perfect location for an elopement shoot. Fortunately, my dream was adopted by some great wedding vendors, who believed in it and provided the necessary tools to make it true! All of a sudden a big team of professionals appeared one sunny Sunday at the lake shore. The whimsical wedding dresses were made especially for the occasion. One of a kind laces, fabrics flowing in the breeze that the lake provide for us. Feathers, accessories and jewelry that perfectly blended in with the rest of the look, the make up and the different hairdos that were deliberately designed to look natural and simple, not to contradict the simplicity of the rest of the ensemble, but rather, compliment it. The combination of flowers came out after studying the environment carefully and it was a mix of different flowers that fit with the rest of the flora and of course elements of the local flora itself.

The chic decoration was divided into two sets: a dessert table and a tea set-up. The cake was decorated with flowers while pieces of moss scattered on the table gave the natural tone it was needed. The vintage feeling was given from the dinnerware sets... cutlery, plates and glasses all worked together for a rustic and vintage feel that was a perfect fit for the environment. Desserts were simple and had an earthy quality, like nougat, dried fruits, traditional sugared almonds and Turkish delights.

The elopement theme was perfectly composed by details such as written handkerchiefs and bespoke calligraphy tags and love letter. A signature cocktail was the final touch. To organise such an endeavor to such an amazing, but remote, place was not an easy task to accomplish. A team of 14 people was engaged until the nine hour photo-shoot came to a successful end. The photography managed to bring together all the little details that this styled shoot was made of. The look to achieve was romantic, natural, full of light, with a hint of fashion in order to make it more chic. At the end, this elopement styled shoot came to life as dreamed: big, beautiful and full of energy.
