It makes you realise that all you really need on your wedding day is each other. The rest, is a beautiful bonus.

Whether you're planning a wedding for two or two hundred, there are some lovely, inexpensive ideas here to inspire your special day. For instance, we are a little bit in love with Alice's bridal look - the delicate lace on her Jessica Turner Designs gown, her twisted up-do adorned with gilded leaves and that breath-taking bouquet by Halcyon Floral Design. While candles wrapped in burlap and twine add a rustic, home-y touch to any celebration. And don't even get us started on the naked, thistle topped cake.

Inspired By Love And Simplicity

Kitty Wheeler Shaw Photography shares the inspiration behind the shoot:

The inspiration for this shoot came from a little cabin my parents own in Devon by Valentine Lake. I always thought it would be the perfect spot to run away to, and it's so appropriately named! The theme of the shoot, above everything else, was love and simplicity. This couple take to the road to spend their wedding day simply and beautifully, wandering through the forest, hauling out a mish-mash of crockery and candles to adorn the wedding breakfast table and ending the perfect day on the beach in each others arms. The colour palette was inspired by the English landscape which surrounds them, muted blues, pinks and greens with a flash of golden corn here and there.
