We are so excited to share this beautiful floral-inspired styled shoot with you today!

Here is more about the shoot : "The pace of this year has caught us all by surprise. Before we knew it, flowers were blooming and there was a sense of new beginnings in the air. With this feeling we decided to use the vibrant colours popping up all around us to create a vigorous and lively 2016 inspired shoot. Being inspired by the flowers and colours springing up everywhere opens up the opportunity to think a bit differently when putting together a styled shoot. We think that 2016 has offered some amazing trends and inspiration for brides-to-be and we wanted to create something true to what 2016 has to offer before it's over. We also wanted to use what we can find locally, and finding the talented jeweller, Carla Davis, who weaves lace with silver definitely helped to push our creative boundaries.

It was important for us to find a venue that is rich in creativity and creates a sense of summer bursting out from within - which is why we decided to use Bell Amour from Pretoria. By what could harvest from nature, we created beauty by putting together colours and textures which we would never have been able to dream up by ourselves.

We've seen a lot of pantone pairing in 2016, which all had it's gorgeous place, but we wanted to be untamed in a sense by pairing colours and different elements to create this shoot. Since we were little we have all been told certain colours don't go together, and we wanted to show how vigorous and energising it can be to style without restrictions."

The Trends | What's hot at the moment?

Wendy Larsen from Dimity sums up the current bridal fashion trends:
"This season we are seeing many more brides looking for a different style of lace work in their bridal gowns - although the illusion lace effect continues to trend, there is now an emphasis on mixing lace textures for a three dimensional quality. And there's a practical bonus to this design detail as well: using slightly different tones of laces on a lighter or darker base fabric improves how the dress photographs, leaving the bride with a breathtaking memory of the finer details of her day."

Ashleigh Ronnenbergh from The Love Knot explains how styling and floral trends are influencing brides across the country:
Although we have seen a lot of white and botanical greens, a pop of colour is definitely starting to show through, with hues of sunshine yellows and touches of blues. Wild and big bouquets are also increasingly becoming a favourite with a modern take on a ethereal feel, with quirky touches of bespoke design.

Simply You | One last word?

Some advice from our side - If you are getting married soon and want to create a vibrant wedding style, don't be afraid to pair outrageous colours together. Be bold in your thinking and get people who can dream up a storm to help you see the endless possibilities that are waiting for you to harvest and create.
