Sure, wedding dresses on the runway are pretty amazing. But on actual brides? So much better. We've rounded up our 10 favorite wedding dresses from this year's weddings a little bit early in honor of The Dress month here at my wedding. Sit back and prepare for gorgeous.

Above, this blush fit and flare dress is a showstopper. Pretty in pink with an elegant sash, the skirt on this dress is unbelievable. The layers upon layers of tattered ruffles give the dress tons of romantic drama.

Sometimes what makes a wedding dress really special is that one great detail. Below, this dress is all about that bow. It's flouncy and fun, and adds extra interest to its voluminous ballgown skirt.

True, I selected a photo where you can't see the whole dress, but you just really had to see this illusion neckline (below) up close. The larger scale lace pattern pairs beautifully with the bride's delicate navy birdcage veil.

Speaking of unique lace, this Edwardian lace dress (below) combines old-fashioned glamour with offbeat sensibility. The skirt is tiered towards the bottom and the sleeves offer a peek-a-boo view of the bride's colorful tattoos.

A dress can go from traditional to extraordinary with the help of flawless accessories. Below, this bride understands the power of metallic details. Combining a golden sash with the coolest sequined shrug, this whole look represents modern and elegant style.

Illusion necklines have dominated weddings this year. The sheer gathers on this neckline, though, may take the cake. This lovely princess ballgown is set off by a bejeweled collar and matching beaded sash. It gives off just enough sparkle without overpowering the classic silhouette.

Talk about a really unique dress! This tiered dress alternating lace and pleated cotton uses traditional details to make a very nontraditional gown. Perfect for a veranda wedding!

It was hard to pick a photo to show off all of the beauty in this simple halter sheath (below). But as the wedding took place right on the Northern California coast, the one with wellies seemed to be the right choice! The apron-inspired bodice ties at the neck with a preppy bow, and the slinky sheath looked amazing on the beach.

Finding the perfect dress is all about matching it to your own personality. Clearly, this retro bride feels like a million bucks in her playful tea-length, a-line dress! Paired with red lipstick and heels this look was pure nostalgic fun.

Lastly, the woodsy background only highlights the thoroughly beautiful details on this lace gown. From the off-white overlay to the interesting silhouette, this wedding dress has an ethereal quality at this boho wedding in the forest.
