Want to feel like a glamorous femme fetale on your wedding day? One of the sexiest wedding dress trends for 2016 is the plunging neckline. Even more daringly low than your deepest v-neck shirt, these dresses are alluring and sophisticated. We've rounded up 15 of our favorites to inspire your wedding dress shopping!

We are well aware that this trend is not for everyone. It's definitely a little risque, so more traditional brides might prefer a more demure interpretation. Below, this v-neck dress is made more conservative by a strategically placed "ivy" wrapped around the bodice, breaking the v in two.

Finding ways to embrace this trend in a subtle way is also a good choice for brides that are particularly busty. Unfortunately, if you are "blessed" in this department, most of these plunging necklines will not be your jam. However, with a few minor alterations or details you can still have the dress you want.

One way to make your wedding dress slightly less revealing is finding a deep neckline that doesn't go down quite as far, and also adds lace scallops. The extra detail makes the neckline not seem quite so low, plus it goes well with a vintage or boho style.

Brides that are willing to bare just a little more, might appreciate a plunging neckline with a bit of sheer fabric to avoid feeling like a wardrobe disaster is imminent (although, seriously people, use tape with this trend). Above, a strip of nude fabric is added at the bottom of this sweetheart neckline. Below, this gorgeous dress features a sheer panel all the way to the collarbone.

Another way to avoid shocking Aunt Betty is to remember that you can mute this trend a tad if you balance the overall look. Both of the dresses above and below are otherwise quite modest. The metalasse fabric on the dress above is heavy and elegant, emphasizing the sweet silhouette and deep pleats. Below, this almost-to-the-waist neckline flows into a skirt with a dramatic overlay and train.

Even if you want to opt for a more form fitting silhouette, try on a couple of dresses with sleeves. The 3/4 sleeves below make this plunging neckline wedding dress look like the picture of retro elegance.

And this sultry number below is seriously vampy. The intricate beading and long sleeves, though, keep it from being overly provocative for your trip down the aisle.

We love this Art Deco-inspired dress below with its sequins and seed bead pattern centering around the diamond at her waist. The plunging neckline adds to its slinky, Old Hollywood vibe.

Now let's focus on the dresses that wholeheartedly embrace this trend. These dresses feature necklines that nearly graze the waistline and will require some next-level garment taping. Above, another 2016 trend is the return of the grand ballroom skirt. This dress effortlessly blends them both together for a princess with a scandalous side.

As we stated before, lace scallops really help to soften these necklines, even when they are super low. Both of these dresses also use a lot of sheer lace through the sleeves (above) and bodice (below). Surprisingly, the effect is more ethereal than suggestive.

In this latest season of dresses, we've also spotted plunging necklines with unconventional shapes and elements. This Vera Wang gown below features a deep v with a high, strappy collar around the neck.

Even classically romantic brides can wear this trend with a stunning, off-the-shoulder interpretation (below, left). Modern brides who appreciate completely unique style will love this peekaboo bodice with a deep scoop neck.
