A winery is always a lovely and popular place for a wedding. Grange Cleveland Winery is situated in Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges and along with guest suites, offers a magnificent 1890's homestead. With stunning views across the vines to the rolling hills beyond, and a picturesque lake, the winery offers a blank canvas for you to style the wedding of your dreams. Enjoy some time being pampered, or for the guys playing golf, and make a wedding weekend of it, offering your guests a break away from the city.

We asked Tania of Grange Cleveland Winery five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?

The delicious Apple Mojito's made with fresh lime, apple and mint, served by one of our friendly bar staff at either Cleveland Winery or Bellinzona.

Your favourite weekend getaway?

I have 2 - if I need a bit of pampering, I am definitely off to Bellinzona in Daylesford/Hepburn Springs for a little bit of spoiling. I would start with a pre booked in-house massage, followed by a relaxing soak in their private guest only spa. After that I usually have dinner in their lovey grand Edwardian styled Dining hall and then relax with a drink from the bar by the open fires in the private guest lounges. The next day, after a scrumptious hot breakfast I usually like to check out the local shops which offer a variety of experiences. If I'm not in such a rush, I may walk down to Hepburn Bathhouse for a soak in the mineral pools and tasting of the mineral spring waters.

However if I have had a stressful week and am after some peace and quite - I would go to nearby Cleveland Winery, which is just under an hour from home. A place I can I like to relax, read my book and just chill. They usually have a wine tasting session on weekends, which I enjoy. Sometimes I take a stroll through the vineyard, feed the farm animals including the alpacas, sheep cattle and goats. Even just sitting by the lake and watching the ducks swimming is blissful. Time just slows down perfectly at Cleveland Winery. My husband and I , sometimes go for a bike ride or bushwalk in nearby Macedon Ranges.

Favourite restaurant?

For a more romantic fine dining experience you can't go past Bellinzona Heritage Restaurant. Plus they run high tea on Saturday afternoons.

If I am after something relaxing - Cleveland Winery wood fire pizzas and grazing menu , on weekends can't be missed.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?

Pancakes! Our whole family loves pancakes on Sunday mornings. That is why we love going to Cleveland Winery. Accompanying their extensive brunch experience, they really do make yummy, fluffy pancakes..

Your favourite wedding story?

I guess I can't go past Michelle and Joel's wedding. It really was a perfect afternoon ceremony at Cleveland Winery. Then all the guests moved to the Great Room for the reception. What they didn't know was what was to come. Towards the end of the evening to all the guests' surprise the MC announced for everyone to gather downstairs or on the balcony for a spectacular fireworks display.

At Bellinzona, my favourite wedding story would have to be the recent one of Skye and Ross, who tied the knot in June 2015. Not wanting to have a large affair or any guests, Skye and Ross decided it would be just the two of them on their special day. The elopement package suited them perfectly.. Before the ceremony Ross was understandably nervous but once Skye walked through the door Ross couldn't hold in his emotion anymore. Skye looked absolutely stunning and the photos shot by Hayley from Creative Vue Imagery were amazing. My favourite part was acting as a witness during the ceremony and having the honour of signing the marriage certificate. It was a special day with a special couple.
