The fabric and tie can be interchanged to match all kinds of wedding themes and colours - think burlap and leather for rustic celebrations or striped fabric with vibrant ribbons for a more modern party.

• Fabric and ribbons/string of your choosing
• Pencil
• Ruler
• Iron
• A sewing machine

1. Starting with a straight edge of fabric, fold it over so that the printed side stays inside the fold. If you are making multiple pouches, measure out the height of your desired pouch and use small pins to hold the fabric in place while you cut the fabric.
2. With a pencil, mark the width of your pouch, adding a 1/2 inch to allow for seams; continue marking along the fabric until you've used up the full fold. You can also use a ruler to draw out full cutting lines. Recommended pouch size: 6 inches x 3.5 inches.
3. With a sewing machine (or hand-stitch if you're patient!), sew two straight lines down each side of the pouch. If you prefer a clean finish to the top of the pouch, fold and seam the top edges before sewing down the sides. You can also use pinking shears for an easy finish.
4. Trim off loose threads and turn your bag inside out. Use a ruler or pencil to turn out the corners. With a warm iron, press the pouch along the seams.
5. Finish off your favour pouch with ribbon or string ties to hold your treats inside, then add these DIY thank you tags for an extra personalized touch.
