Simplicity is often the key to timeless wedding photographs and Valentina Glidden Photography wanted to do a simple yet beautiful bridal session by the ocean and this gorgeous Malibu beach was the perfect backdrop. Wearing a dress from J Crew and a stunning bridal headpiece from Wedding Sparrow favourite Lacielle Roselle, this elegant beach bound bridal session is divine.

We think Beach Bridal sessions are the perfect excuse to either wear your wedding gown for the second time or to coordinate your bridals session prior to the big day! Whatever path you chose, here are some helpful tips and pointers:

1. Try not to get too precious about your dress - Prepare for sand, water and everything in between to get all over your dress! Even if you get a little dirty, make sure your dress can be dry cleaned by a professional (especially prevalent if you have a vintage dress!)
2. Accessorize - Whether it be florals or a sparkling piece of adornment, coordinate your gown and make it stand out. It's also a perfect opportunity to try out something more adventurous. That big floral crown you're not sure about, the statement necklace, even the all over body calligraphy. Go on. Try it.
3. Have your bridal make up and hair trial on the same day if possible - This will give you the perfect chance to make sure it withstands anything you can throw at it! Even if you go for an all natural make up look, make sure you have waterproof mascara on and a cream based blush in this windy environment. And don't forget hairspray!
